An accomplished IT professional with a broad and diverse track record and up-to-date skills, I am now engaged as a contract Agile Coach / Scrum Master. This role draws many elements together: architecture, project management, people management, HR and communication.
Scrum Master certification and playing a lead role in implementation of Agile/Scrum at the Icelandic Financial Supervisory Authority have brought my skills in line with current industry best practice. I have implemented Agile in five separate organisations, with demonstrable results.
My deep understanding of the integration of IT systems into business environments is built on more than 20 years’ experience in organisations ranging in size from four people to multinationals.
Eight years’ service in the U.K. Royal Navy as an officer and aviator taught me valuable lessons in leadership, discipline, improvisation and the ability to remain effective and focused in extremely high-pressure environments.
