A Principal Data Scientist who has 14 years of academic experience in OR and applied probability and 5 years of commercial Data Science experience at Tesco and Royal Mail. I work with universities to bring new innovations and research into Data Science groups around the country. I have specialised in finding and executing high impact data/decision science projects in vehicle routing and optimisation, forecasting, schedule optimisation and machine learning. Have lead teams of 30 Data Scientists as well as small teams of 1 or 2: I believe the Data Scientist needs to be a rounded individual capable of bringing in and defining the project as well the technical development necessary to further define the project and bring out the impact.
